
Your safety as a tasker at Luado is something we take very seriously. In order for you to feel safe at work, both in terms of injuries and people you are dealing with, we have created a guide to Health, Safety and Environment measures (HSE measures).
Since you are not employed by Luado, you are your own HSE, but we are happy to help you along the way.

Before the task start
Be clear in communication with the customer to prepare yourself for the task and avoid misunderstandings.

- Ask questions about, for example, ceiling height, area and whether the customer has appropriate equipment and safety equipment needed to carry out the task in a safe manner.
- Say no to jobs where, for example, height protection or protective equipment is not available or if it requires skilled labor you cannot offer (electrician, plumber, etc.) or which is generally too extensive for your level of competence.
- If you do not feel confident in taking the assignment or that it does not feel right, contact Luado customer service or cancel the assignment. No one can force you to do tasks via Luado.
During ongoing task
Remember that the customer should also feel safe – you are after all in their home.

- Be polite and friendly and then the customer will most likely treat you in the same manner.
- If it turns out that the necessary safety measures is missing, you do not need to complete the task.Check with the customer about how you can best solve the task in a safe manner – now or on a later occasion.
- If you borrow tools from the customer, these should be thoroughly checked that they are in order before use.
- If you are in direct health danger – call the emergency services (call 112).
If something should happen

- If you have been unlucky or something has gone wrong, you must include the customer in the entire process and contact Luado if you need guidance.
- As a Light Entrepreneur via Ukko.fi you are insured if something should go wrong (liability and accident insurance). As Private Trader via Ukko.fi you need to have a valid liability and accident insurance when performing tasks via Luado.
- Are you in danger? Call the emergency services by calling 112.
Preventing Risky Situations
Below is a list of the most likely risks to taskers on Luado, and how to best avoid them. For more detailed information about accident prevention go to website from responsible authorities Occupational Health Administration.

GENERAL FOR ALL TASKS:
- Stress, harassment or disagreement that scales to conflict – contact Luado customer service.
- Fire at customer – call 112.
HOUSEWORK:
- Exposure to chemicals / strong detergents – use protective equipment such as face masks and gloves.
ASSEMBLY AND REPAIR WORK:
- Get heavy things over yourself – ask for help if you e.g. assemble a wardrobe with too heavy parts.
MOVING AND CARRYING JOBS:
- Repetitive heavy lifting / performing tasks at the customer that are physically demanding or repetitive – take several breaks or avoid tasks that are too demanding for your physique.
PAINTING:
- Fall from height / stairs – always use a safety device, even if you feel steady. Be careful when carrying heavy objects on stairs.
CARPENTRY WORK
- Damages to tools (such as scaffolding, ladder, crane, lift, various types of saws, nail gun, angle grinder and mobile work equipment such as tractor, lift and crane) – use protective equipment and have the necessary certification.
- Cuts and minor injuries – accidents happen, but care for wounds and consult a doctor if necessary.
