Your safety as a tasker at Luado is something we take very seriously. In order for you to feel safe at work, both in terms of injuries and people you are dealing with, we have created a guide to Health, Safety and Environment measures (HSE measures).

Since you are not employed by Luado, you are your own HSE, but we are happy to help you along the way.

Feel free to provide input to hei@luado.fi if you believe any information is missing.

CONTENTS:

Before the task start

Be clear in communication with the customer to prepare yourself for the task and avoid misunderstandings.

  • Ask questions about, for example, ceiling height, area and whether the customer has appropriate equipment and safety equipment needed to carry out the task in a safe manner.
  • Say no to jobs where, for example, height protection or protective equipment is not available or if it requires skilled labor you cannot offer (electrician, plumber, etc.) or which is generally too extensive for your level of competence.
  • If you do not feel confident in taking the assignment or that it does not feel right, contact Luado customer service or cancel the assignment. No one can force you to do tasks via Luado.
3 RISK ASSESSMENT TIPS

Ask yourself these questions before each task is carried out:

  • What can (in the worst case) go wrong?
  • What can be done to prevent things from going wrong (e.g. securing yourself, proper use of tools/ equipment)?
  • What can you do to reduce the consequences if something happens (first aid equipment available, checking tools, etc.)?

During ongoing task

Remember that the customer should also feel safe – you are after all in their home.

  • Be polite and friendly and then the customer will most likely treat you in the same manner.
  • If it turns out that the necessary safety measures is missing, you do not need to complete the task.Check with the customer about how you can best solve the task in a safe manner – now or on a later occasion.
  • If you borrow tools from the customer, these should be thoroughly checked that they are in order before use.
  • If you are in direct health danger – call the emergency services (call 112).

If something should happen

  • If you have been unlucky or something has gone wrong, you must include the customer in the entire process and contact Luado if you need guidance.
  • As a Light Entrepreneur via Ukko.fi you are insured if something should go wrong (liability and accident insurance). As Private Trader via Ukko.fi you need to have a valid liability and accident insurance when performing tasks via Luado.
  • Are you in danger? Call the emergency services by calling 112.
